By using the Minimum Weight fields you can restrict when Freight Rate is displayed. It is best explained by example.
If we want Freight Rates to be shown only when the weight in cart is over 100lbs then we set Minimum Weight to 100 , and “Only display when weight threshold reached” will be set to Yes. This will result in only Freight Rates being shown when weight is over 100lbs. If we set “Only display when weight threshold reached” to No then over shipping rates (e.g. UPS) will still be shown alongside Freight Rates (provided a rate can be retrieved).
Using the switch “only display when freight item is in cart” you can specify whether to only display Echo freights if the customer adds a product which explicitly has a freight class assigned to it – i.e. you are forcing the customer to choose freight shipping.
If any of the conditions are met such that there is a need to retrieve Echo rates then all items that do not have a freight class assigned will use the default freight class.
When set to Yes the extension will send information to Echo freight about the Accessorial items such as whether liftgate is required and whether hazardous materials are in use.
You can optionally also add a fixed per cart fee for if the customer selects the address is residential or whether a liftgate is required.
