Extensions‎ > ‎Import Shipments‎ > ‎

Configuration

Installation

  • Generic extension installation instructions can be found here

  • Within 'Configuration->Shipping Settings' you should have a tab available called "WebShopApps Import Shipments"

Configuration

Under Shipping Settings> WebShopApps Import Shipments" tab
  1. Select 'Yes' for enabled
  2. Set preferences for customer emails
  3. Save the configuration

Format for Import

The basic CSV format for import is shown below

There are also downloadable examples attached. Some things to note:

  1. You must include a header row and all columns, even if they are left blank
  2. If you want to ship an entire order, leave the SKU, Ord Qty and Shipped Qty columns blank for that row. All unshipped items in the corresponding order will be marked as shipped
  3. To ship only specific items, enter the SKU and Shipped Qty - at this stage Ord Qty is merely a placeholder.
  4. If you attempt to ship items that have already been marked as shipped, that Order's shipment will fail.
  5. Tracking number is optional, if you do not want to add a tracking number, leave this cell blank.
  6. You can also specify a carrier name for tracking (optional) - this is used when combining with our Generic Tracker extension, to include a hyperlink in emails allowing the customer to track their purchase. The carrier name must exactly match an existing carrier - either specified in Generic Tracker or another shipping carrier enabled in your Magento configuration.

Import via CRON

  1. Set Enable Cron Facility to Yes
  2. Set frequency and start time for the cron job
  3. Specify a name and location of the file to be imported
  4. Save the configuration
  5. Ensure cron is running in your root magento installation. You may need to check with your hosting provider or system administrator.

The file specified in step 3 will be imported automatically at the scheduled time and frequency. Once complete, the file is renamed to include a date stamp.

Please ensure the file name and location is correct. You can use relative paths e.g. var/import or absolute paths e.g. C:\Temp\ImportShipmentsCron. The filename must include the .csv suffix.
